Well here is a description of the traditional selling method.
We Hate Selling!
1.    It starts with prospecting.

2.    Then cold calling and advertising to find leads.

3.    Then you qualify those leads,  based on people’s urgency to buy.

4.    You do a presentation to demonstrate the product or service.

5.    Then you work on convincing (overcoming objections) prospect(s) to buy it.
We know prospects resist selling, they hate it yet we do it because we are taught it.
Result, the more you sell, the more people resist it …
Funny part is you don’t like selling either

Their special programming remembers your preferences, so you get an intelligent, personalized advise each time you enter the site. They will tell you what people said about books they sell – whether it’s positive or not.

Because they are there to HELP you.
And when you are ready to buy, they don’t offer you a long form to fill out but a process reduced to just one click!

Preferred Process
1.    Create the environment – As a small business owner you cannot create the same kind of shopping environment as GAP or amazon.com — they have more cash than you. But you can attract customers by making their shopping experience pleasurable in other ways.

2.    Identify their customer frustrations – Begin with identifying what are their frustrations associated with shopping for your kind of product or service. Share with them your knowledge of the industry.

3.    Be an Advisor – Advise them how to select the best service and educate them how to use and take care of the product to maximize benefits.

4.    Hold Their Hand – Take them by the hand and lead them through the frustrating process of making an intelligent buying decision.

5.    Help them solve their problem – Your goal should be to solve your customers problems, and the key word here is “lead” – no “sell”.

Becoming irresistibly attractive is easy, once you take the dollar sign off your forehead and start concentrating on the people you serve.
It is your attitude towards others that makes you attractive. It is your cheerful and upbeat personality — BEING the type of person someone would want to do business with. It is not only about being very good at what you do, but also about being a giver — rather than a taker.
